Devil Sticks

The Devil stick is a juggling prop that is not toss juggled in the way that balls or clubs are, but manipulated with two handsticks. Nonetheless, it is considered a core juggling product and is part of the repertoire of many jugglers. They are sometimes referred to as juggling sticks by non-jugglers—a term not used by jugglers to avoid confusion with other props such as juggling clubs. Some jugglers have built entire acts around the Devil Stick alone. It has seen many configurations. The original devil stick goes back to antiquity—evidence has been seen in Africa, Egypt and in China, where it was known as Hua kun or flower stick. This design used pom-poms on each end of a tapered wooden stick. Many practitioners of the art dislike the negative connotation of “Devil Stick,” so you may see many alternate terms used for both the stick and activity such as flower sticks, stix, stixplay, hippie sticks. We offer the standard style manufactured in hardwood in several decoration patterns in various colors with a choice of silicone rubber handsticks.
